Inside the Monster - The Official Ticket Lodge Sponsor of the Boston Red Sox

Growing up in the Boston metro area you are quickly baptized into Red Sox Nation, I often use the term "I was born into this" to describe the significance of the Red Sox in the area.  Being a true Red Sox fan is much more than rooting for "Big Papi" or laughing at "Manny being Manny" it is about pride, pride in your team, your town and your history.  Growing up with this pride your loyalty only grows deeper; I have since moved into Boston proper (the North End) and find myself alive with the energy of the city come baseball season.  There is a certain emotion you can feel (even in the office) during the day after a big win or a significant loss.

Just writing about the Red Sox forces me to share my favorite Sox-related story:  In 2004, after the greatest come back in baseball history over the Yankees, it was time for game four of the World Series with the Sox holding a three game to none lead.  It was my senior year at college and the campus was buzzing, there were countless parties and celebrations to be had.  As soon as game three ended however I knew I would not be partaking in these activities.  Instead I knew I had to travel an hour home to be with my immediate family in order to truly celebrate such a momentous occasion.  Being home with my two brothers, mother and especially my father as the Red Sox finally ended 80 plus years of misery remains one of the best nights of my life.
Every baseball fan should visit Fenway Park.  I have been lucky enough to visit many other baseball stadiums and none mirror the experience one gets while at Fenway.  The electricity of the crowd, the historical value of the ballpark and irrational expectation to win every game is a feeling matched by no other place in America.  Some of my fondest childhood memories are going to Fenway Park with my family.  The Fenway franks, peanuts and views (while all overpriced) was nearly too much to truly appreciate at the time.  Now however, I visit Fenway as often as possible to soak it all in.
